RSA Animate - Drive: The surprising truth about what motivates us
I’ve seen this talk in varying forms before, but the animation alone is exceptional. Although his point about Linux isn’t really true since 75% of the Linux committers in 2010 were given a salary to do so. I think a better (although not strictly the same in terms of time invested) example would be Wikipedia, where the contributors are almost never payed.
